Mapping the Dark Room is a collection of songs about the struggle between curiosity and safety, exploration and apathy, the past and the future.

The tragic story of Buran ("blizzard"), the Soviet space shuttle programme, perfectly illustrates our condition: we're capable of great achievements, but hindered by apathy and short-sightedness.

But, our message is a positive one: be brave, be true, be curious. Look into the past for inspiration and strength, and do what you believe in.
